Reflection on communicative tools

Communication tools are an application of easy communication between and among the people, used as external or internal communication. There are many communicative tools that we see and use in our daily life such as telephone, online chat, email, video conferencing, social networking site ( blog, face book ,twitter, we chat etc..). Those different types of communication tools are used to have communication of two types that is synchronous and asynchronous communications. Synchronous communication is live or real time communications like telephone where as asynchronous communication does not happen live or real.

Communication happen every day and every time with the use of various kind of communication device , moreover in education field the different kind of those tools are implemented and used for teaching and learning. Various communication tools help both student and teacher to enhance their communication skill which is necessary to improve their learning. Communication skill is must as teacher to help their student to achieve academic success and moreover for their own mobility of career. Student required communication skill for their better learning and interaction.

I thought that words we listen and speaks are the source of communication but I realize it is also the communication tools after I learn this module. In olden day’s communication mostly happen synchronous type of communication due to inability of internet and other social media there they have to do meeting or else do phone call which will experience live communication. Due to the technological change in modern world communication happen mostly in asynchronous type like in blog, vle and other social media platform where people can see message and respond whenever they like but not at same time. Through communication we can know how much they learned moreover we can also let them know or create awareness by means of different communication tools so communication is a fastest way to educate people.

Using of various communication tools have enormous advantageous to every being still then it has some disadvantages while using in education field. Synchronous types of communications disadvantages are where slow computer users face difficulties in following up and make quick comments for discussion. Again because of many discussion slides leads to slow connection and lose focused and interest in discussion. Whereas in asynchronous communication is mostly of uploading and posting files on forums or blogs therefore its extra task for both learner and educator. Moreover Asynchronous is flexible communication because it’s on individual willingness when to post their task. So it discourages learner’s participation and frequency.
